You will also need cotton balls and a glue stick. Due to time constraints and working with pre schoolers, I did the cutting ahead of time and they did the gluing. Older children or younger children under supervision could do their own cutting. Younger children should use the child size scissors though, not the ones such as I have picture. You will also need to be ready to find a Bible verse on google, print it and cut it out.

supplies needed…. plastic box from Michael’s, coral fish tube, available at Michael’s or online aquarium gravel, and an aquarium tree (available at pet stores), or one can use the coral tree in the fish tube, and you will need scissors if you use the aquarium tree.

Get your tree ready.

Cut to size. Scissors worked fine for the particular little tree I bought, as the tree was flimsy plastic. If you buy a very wiry tree, it may be wise to use wire cutters.

Put the tree in.

DSC_1282

Put the gravel in. Make sure you put in enough to cover the base of the tree. This helps hold the tree firm.

As I originally did my project for a creation lesson,

I didn’t use these two items, however they would still be cute in an aquarium project.
